Middle & Long Distance Training

Middle Distance & Long Distance Training for middle distance (800m-1500m) and long distance cross country requires a hybrid approach, blending high aerobic mileage for endurance with speed work (intervals and hill repeats) to boost {VO2 Max} and lactate tolerance. Cross-country runners emphasize a greater volume of long, steady efforts, while middle-distance athletes focus more on race-pace efforts and developing top-end speed. Still, both benefit from tempo runs and consistent strength training.
